THE FOUNDER’S STORY

There are "intersections" in one's life that grab all reality and turn it upside down. It seems three incredible coincidences have occurred to bring the three founders of Soulneeds to this intersection and as a result are investing their time, talent, and treasure into creating something that will be a beacon to the world. The last paragraph of their Vision Statement will help you understand what the collective collision of intention is with creating Soulneeds; "This will result in more awakened individuals that are highly functioning in life, which creates a processional effect from their example and by their actions awakens others."

When this intersection took place, it became decision time for each of the founders. And all three decided to leave their successful careers in industries they knew well to collaborate and pursue this meaningful, and life changing project. Surprisingly, it was a simple decision, as if each had been prepped for this adventure their whole life. Their unique gifts, insights, and skill sets were a perfect fit for the delivery of something game changing.

The three founders of Soulneeds are Shore Slocum, Paul Thornton and Nathan King.

Shore Slocum had been working in the personal development industry for more than 24 years. He had helped tens of thousands of people learn how to obtain their goals. Yet Shore had been building up a stronger and stronger desire to find a path to teach people on a much bigger scale and build a large critical mass of learning and growing.

Paul Thornton had been working in the live entertainment industry for almost 15 years. The last couple years Paul had been feeling that tug in his business life to do more than just promote events. Paul understood the power that music held on people's emotions, and wanted to find a way to harness that power for a greater good than just mere entertainment value. After producing a fundraising concert for the Dalai Lama and The Tibet Fund, Paul was inspired to make a commitment to finding a way to use the inspiration of music for a greater cause.

Nathan King had been working in Australia, running his real estate company while at the same time finding his real passion and skill in teaching others how to transform their lives. Nathan had been overtaken by a strong desire to follow this new path, and with determined conviction left his world behind to move to the United States and follow his intuition.

Then one day in the Fall of 2009 these three men, working in different industries and in different locations, were brought together by what some call "coincidences", whereas the founders call a "common purpose." Conversations commenced, brainstorming ensued, and the vision for Soulneeds was born.
