New GPM rear gear box locked solid
I have just bought the GPM fornt and rear gear box covers and have put them together with the diff and other parts to rebuild the back of my Xmod. The gears are all greased up and it is locked solid, it wont even turn a little.
Could it be I'm using the stock diff? I know it shouldn't make a difference. I have put it all together seperate from the ch***is and also attached but it makes no change to the fact it won't move. I have tried all sorts of different things from making three different gaskets from various cards and paper, and all that did was make the gears slip and grind.
I am not stupid and do have a lot of experience with rc cars and various other rc vehicals, but I just cant seem to figure out what is causing the problem I am having. Oh, I forgot to mention with the all wheel drive kit fitted the diff won't even turn.
Things I have tried:
1: Making a gasket to increase the ****e to allow free movement. (Failed)
2: Using various bearings to allow friction free flow. (Failed)
3: Mixing stock front with Gpm rear cover. (Failed)
4: Mixing Gpm Front with stock rear cover (failed)
So what do you think maybe the problem?
